Federico Babina is an italian architect and illustrator, based in Barcelona since 2007. In his work the architectures become the scenography for his bidimensional posters.
Already with the series “ARCHICINE”, 17 posters depicting the most symbolic buildings in movie classics, Federico showed his interest in the relation between architecture and cinema. With his last work “ARCHISET”, Federico Babina continues to explore the movie world and discovers the inside of famous movie sets like Stanley Kubrick’s Shining or Blake Edwards’ Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Every poster becomes a magic box full of personality where the story of the characters intersect. Just like an interior design project, the illustrator recreate the locations, designs and spaces of the scene where the characters live. A different prospective, to observe in every single detail, that completes the work of the directors through the graphics of the simple and essential lines of Federico Babina.
